In mid-January, Guangbo Technology-Shenzhen Guangbo Machinery Technology Precision Engineering Innovation Team independently developed two kinds of super-fine polishing equipments, such as magnetorheological and ion beam, which created the sub-nanometer precision of optical parts processing and passed the acceptance of the national authority. According to experts, this achievement has made China the third country to master the manufacturing technology of high-precision optical parts after the United States and Germany, and become the only country in the world with both Rheology and ion beam polishing equipment.
       Nano precision is known as the ultra-precision processing technology "the pearl on the diamond." In the 1990s, most of China used the traditional processing technology of “manual + mechanical polishing”, and it was impossible to process optical parts with large diameter, high precision and complicated surface shape. Under the leadership of Professor Li Shengyi, the Defense Engineering Innovation Team of the National Defense Science and Technology University, after more than 20 years of hard work, broke through the technical bottlenecks, independently developed two kinds of ultra-fine polishing equipments, such as magnetorheological and ion beam, to create sub-nanometer precision in the field of optical parts processing in China. 
       In the past three years, the team has cooperated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Aerospace Science and Technology Group to promote the development of space optics and high-end equipment manufacturing in China. It has independently developed two types of seven types of magnetorheological and ion beam polishing machines. Significant economic and social benefits. The team has won the “Special Achievement Award” from the major science and technology special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
